Affordable Custom Recipe Development for Creators and Small Businesses

I feel like every service is so expensive these days, recipe development included, and I’m saying this as a recipe developer. I couldn’t tell you the number of times I’ve provided a potential client with a quote, only for them to respond that the fee wasn’t possible with their budget (even when the box they checked in their questionnaire suggested otherwise). Mind you, I don’t charge exorbitant amounts and am always mindful of who my average customer is: a blogger, content creator, or aspiring cookbook author with a full-time job, looking to get their next project off the ground. I’ve been developing recipes professionally for over 10 years, and every recipe I create is tested to make sure it works.

This inspired me to come up with a way to offer this service at an affordable price—really affordable. After a lot of brainstorming, I entertained the idea of custom recipe development for $20. Now, before you accuse me of cheapening the profession, know that there are certain limitations with this low fee: recipes are limited in number and complexity, and are offered under a perpetual, non-exclusive license with waived attribution.

Clients who choose this version are free to use the recipe for personal or commercial purposes and publish it as their own, while ownership remains with me. In other words, you can post it on your blog and call it yours, while I retain ownership and can license it to others. This makes it possible to offer tested, custom recipes at a fraction of the usual cost.

That said, exclusive recipes, in which ownership is transferred, are still an option at a considerably higher price. It is entirely up to the client. And any orders placed prior to this post fall under the terms provided at the time the invoice was paid. I just wanted to write this post clearly explaining the new affordable offering.

If this is something you might be interested in, please get in touch. I’d be happy to create something amazing for you. To get the ball rolling, either fill out the form here or hire me on Fiverr (keep in mind Fiverr charges additional fees). Until then, I’ll be in the kitchen. I think I’ll bake some bread today.
